The second in a series of noisy collaborations. musicians from atlanta bands such as ocelot, remuxers, and hell mach 4 (and many others) bounced very loud ideas off of each other and the walls of a large metal shop in atlanta, georgia. stay tuned for the third in the series, recorded in san francisco in may of 2002.

Local Atlanta scene ruffian Russell Jackson has been organizing riffest for almost four years now. Riffest is a gathering of a group of musicians who all perform together in a semi orchestrated manner. The mood for each piece is set by using either lights or videos etc. etc, but what the musicians actually play to each mood is entirely up to each individual musician. Present on riffest II is three drummers, five guitarists, four basses and one keyboardist all playing and jamming off each other. Altogether it sounds like a massive very textured tsunami of rock hubris that is actually pretty soothing and probably good to fall asleep too.
